Clear As Glass
by Lynn KellanGet this book for ONLY $0.99
Poised to become her overbearing father’s right-hand man, Jaye Davis is tired of being a faceless drone, writing software. She’d rather help real people—like her clients who own a struggling glassblowing factory. While she’s there, she might even discover who she really is.
Mitch Blake and his father keep butting heads about expanding Blake Glassware, and now Mitch has to deal with his father’s consultant, Jaye. She claims online marketing will boost sales, but Mitch insists broadening their product line will increase revenue. Arguing with this doe-eyed woman makes one thing perfectly clear: she has the power to shatter his safe but lonely life.
Jaye is caught between the father counting on her to run their business in the future, an ex-boyfriend who understands her past, and the solemn glassblower who wants her now, just as she is. Is she strong enough to be honest about what she really wants?

Beauty met the Beast and there was . . . Bloody murder?
It’s the Annual Ambassadorial Ball in Glause, and Lady Isabella Farrah, the daughter of New Civet’s Ambassador, is feeling pleasantly scintillated.
In the library is Lord Pecus, a charming gentleman whose double mask hides a beastly face, and who has decided that Isabella is the very person to break the Pecus curse.
In the ball-room is young Lord Topher, who is rapidly falling in love with an older woman.
And in the card-room, lying in a pool of his own blood, is the body of one of Isabella’s oldest friends: Raoul, Civet’s Head Guardsman. The papers sewn into his sash seem to suggest espionage gone wrong, but Isabella is not so certain.
Lord Pecus, as Commander of the Watch, is of the opinion that Isabella should keep out of the investigation and out of danger. Isabella is of the opinion that it is her murder to investigate, and that what a certain Beast-Lord doesn’t know won’t hurt him. . . .
Will Isabella find the murderer before Lord Pecus does, or will she end her investigation as a bloody spatter on the parlour floor?

70-something Oreny “Big” Johnson has a problem. Actually, he has two. Or maybe three. The first is that he’ll be dead from cancer, less than a year, which doesn’t particularly concern him: “The things I’ve been through, dying is just one more page in a long bad book.” But spending his last living days, taking his last living breath, behind steel bars does. That’s the second problem: Inmate #78903 in the notorious level-four Washington State prison known as Horseneck Bay.
Then there’s the money. Two million dollars of stolen military payroll, supposedly buried in some remote and mysterious south-Texas mountain range called Los Despoblados, or The Uninhabited, which sounds to Oreny like one of those places his mama Maybell always told him to avoid. But he’ll worry about that later. He has to get there first. Problem number three.
That’s when he brings those two smoldering dynamite sticks he’s attached himself to—his Luke-boy and Jaime—on board to help his tired old body break out of Horseneck and go dig up that money and then hightail it across the border into Mexico. And when they do break out, and Luke decides to bring his girlfriend Lauren along, and her enraged ex comes after them, and then the manhunt starts multiplying faster around them than those cancer cells inside him, Oreny still thinks he can control them. The problems, that is. At least, until Cade arrives.
Cade, the prison investigator Oreny knows is dangerous and unpredictable as a six-foot-two wolverine on eight gallons of adrenalin gone bad. And who won’t stop until he catches them and does to them what Cade does best.

Madeline Pruett has made up for a lonely childhood and being raised by an irresponsible single mom by creating a solitary world where timetables and highlighters are essential for the predictability she craves. But Madeline is shocked out of her carefully constructed life by word that a father she never knew has died and left her an inheritance and, surprisingly, two unknown sisters. Madeline hopes that she can fly to Colorado, meet her sisters, discover her inheritance, and return to Orlando in a few days to close the biggest deal of her budding real estate career and get back to what she knows best: a quiet life.
For years, Luke Kendrick has juggled school and career and rescuing his family from illness, death and financial crisis. But he has never lost sight of his goals: building and selling his own dream homes. Just when it seems that dream might finally materialize, Luke is called home to Pine River, Colorado to reclaim the ranch his father lost in a gentlemen’s agreement. He is not surprised—Luke’s family knows he will put his life on hold to rescue them…again. But Luke is surprised by a sexy yet uptight button-up woman in impractical shoes who thinks his ranch now belongs to her.
Madeline isn’t sure how to put order to a sprawling, rundown ranch, not to mention a pair of sisters who are nothing like what she imagined or hoped them to be. The only thing she’s sure of is that careful planning is useless in a place where roads have names like Sometimes Pass and men as ruggedly handsome as Luke Kendrick behave so unpredictably.
As Luke and Madeline go toe to toe over the future of the ranch, sparks fly as hot and fiery as their kisses. Madeline thinks she’s the expert, but it’s Luke who teaches her a thing or two—about breaking down walls, finding home, and the true meaning of family.

Twelve-year-old Carly loves her Grampa more than anyone else in the world. So when he dies suddenly, under very bizarre circumstances, she is devastated. A few days later, her Gram tells her that Grampa left her something and hands her a box. There’s an envelope taped to the outside of the box with her name on it, and below her name he had written “Only to be opened if something happens to me.” Carly ran her hands over the box. What could Grampa have left her that would fit in a box this size?
She turned the envelope over, and gasped. Grampa had written “DO NOT OPEN THE BOX UNTIL YOU HAVE READ THE LETTER!!” Carly dropped the letter as if it was a snake. She was totally shocked by her Grampa’s use of all capitalized letters and exclamation points, because it was so unlike his easy-going attitude.
She wasn’t sure how long she’d sat there staring into space, but when she did finally blink, she got up and walked out the back door. She turned and stared at Grampa’s workshop, imagining him waving her towards him. With tears leaking out of her eyes, and the box tucked under her arm, Carly started for home. She didn’t know why Grampa had gone all cloak and dagger on her; she only knew that she would do anything for him, even now.
She hid the box under her bed, and carried the letter with her everywhere she went for weeks. She must have re-read it a hundred times trying to decipher its meaning, and especially the intensity of Grampa’s words.
By the time her best friend, Patti, discovered the box and accused Carly of keeping secrets, which they’d promised each other they would never do, Carly was worn out from trying to hold her curiosity at bay. So, it was fairly easy for Patti to convince her that it was the right time to open the box. They took the box to the workshop, and placed it on Grampa’s desk.
Carly lifted the lid.
Nothing could have prepared them for what was inside that box.
